Who We Are

The Alliance for Children & Youth / Communities In Schools of Gaston County is a non – profit organization formed in 1992. The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Our agency helps advocate for the youth of Gaston County by coordinating partnerships, incubating critical programs and facilitating activities that positively impact the needs identified as essential to the successful development of our youngest citizens.

What We Do

The programs we partner with include North Carolina Teen Court, Juvenile Restitution and Community Service, Community Outreach, and Prevent Child Abuse Gaston County.

These partnerships allow us a wide variety of tools to help enrich children’s lives and help them grow and learn in a positive environment, so that they mature into responsible young adults.

What does it take to be all in for kids?
